Violin Rock Band, Shatterproof, Releases Killer New Single 'So Punk'

By  June 4, 2017

If you're a fan of rock music, you'll love Shatterproof, because not only is it any ordinary rock band, it's a VIOLIN ROCK BAND!

Yep, Shatterproof incorporates violin into their music and holy moly, it's kickass!!

Shatterproof is a five-piece rock band from Colorado, and they've been around since 2009, dishing out emo music with a dash of strings and screams.

For the past few years, they've been dishing out great hits like Cookie Cutter Life, and Karma, which had some pretty intense and dark lyrics, but all that changed after the band released a video message to their fans back in January, explaining that they wanted to stay true to their passion for music and not just make music that "will sell."

With that, they launched a new era of Shatterproof, starting with announcing their signing to record label Revival Recordings, AND releasing their latest single: So Punk. The new song lyrically explores the hardships of working in the music industry where it's so difficult to create the art that they want to create instead of doing what everyone else wants them to do. The chorus is simple - two lines that deliver a clear message of hope: / I'm not down / I'm not out /

Of course musically, the heavy violin brings a killer melody to this classic punk rock sound. The song is catchy, headbang worthy, and complete with a deep punch from the lyrics.
