LANY’s indescribable allure has captured the hearts of many - most of whom are seeking solace in their dreamlike soundscapes and visually appealing floral aesthetic.

This is almost unsurprising as the three-piece band embodies a laid-back aura synonymous to their romantic yet effervescent melodies.

But there’s more to it than meets the eye as frontman Paul Klein opens up about their writing process while briefly mentioning the possibility of coming back to Asia next year.

The slightly reserved guitarist/keyboardist Les Priest and drummer Jake Goss also joined in the conversation as we played the famous game, "Never Have I Ever" - Do the bandmates use each other's toothbrush? Have they ever embarrassed themselves on stage?

Find out all these and more in the video below.

I’ve recently noticed a commonality between all of the bands I’ve been listening to… and it’s their devotion to floral aesthetics.

Call me basic, but when I see something that has some sort of a flower on it, I immediately sense a feeling of calmness.

Somehow, there’s an unfathomable vibe being emitted by floral aesthetics that just appeals to the majority of the female population. This instant Sofia Coppola-esque feeling can be compared to the pixie dream-like aesthetic of teenage girls, which might just be the reason why bands are incorporating roses into their style.

We’ve got tour posters, merchandise, and even stage set-ups just begging to be instagrammed, and we’re not even complaining! We dig this shit!

Here are 3 bands you should check out (if you haven’t already) who are drowning in floral aesthetics.

Good Vibes Festival – an annual festival held in Malaysia where local and international artists alike come together in a showcase of good music – is back this August of 2017.

Starting in 2013, GVF has been happening every year (except for 2015) and it only recently expanded to a two-day, 18+ festival last year as its lineups just keep getting better and better. Since The Smashing Pumpkins back in 2013, GVF has managed to nab Ellie Goulding and Empire of the Sun in 2014 and The Temper Trap, Two Door Cinema Club, Disclosure and The 1975 in 2016.

The official Facebook and Twitter pages have recently announced that GVF will be returning this 12th - 13th of August at The Ranch, Gohtong Jaya, Genting Highlands.

Since then, there have been tons of comments and tweets with names of artists everyone hopes will show up at this year’s gig and here are the top 5:

1. Glass Animals

3. Phoenix

4. alt-J

5. The Neighbourhood

BONUS: The 1975 (Again!!!)

These are only a few of the heaps of artists everyone is hoping to see at GVF this year, but if anything, I think we can all expect that this year's lineup will be just as good, if not better than last year's!
