Joey

2016 has been a great year for ex-Jo Bro Joe Jonas: his new band DNCE was skyrocketing to Billboard charts, and they even ushered in 2017 with a killer NYE performance.

But behind all that sweet success and recognition, Joe admits to struggling with his own artistry, especially when it comes to his 2011 solo LP, Fastlife.

"I'm very proud of the music that I was able to create, but I think at the time it was a lot of cooks in the kitchen when it came to making the music," Joe quips in a recent interview, "and I'm glad I went through that, because it wasn't what I felt the most comfortable doing."

Being the middle child isn't always easy either. He had to watch his younger brother Nick Jonas in the limelight.

I'm envious at times, watching his artistry and how he went so quickly into creating music and an album. ...it was important to take time to figure out exactly what I wanted to do next... Now we're able to support each other from far.

Moving past any sibling rivalry, Joe continues to enjoy creative success with DNCE. Their latest single, Body Moves, is H-O-T right now. (If you know what I mean.)

Check it out below:

Watch out Camila Cabello, you're not the only one about to fly solo.

Lauren Jauregui isn't resting on her laurels - she's busting her ass in the studio with electro house veteran Steve Aoki. (Yep, check out that cute polaroid above.)

Ever since releasing the smash hit Just Hold On with ex-1D member Louis Tomlinson, Steve has been on our pop radar - and now we're sensing big things from the new unlikely duo.

This isn't the 20-year-old's first time making waves though: she was featured on Marian Hill's hit Back To Me and she has worked with Ariana Grande's producers.

But Harmonizers, don't panic yet, Lauren's staying with the gang and they're due to release a LP later this year.

And if you haven't already know, they're also performing in Singapore on April 8

But until then, Aoki x Jauregui, take us away!

Alex Pall of The Chainsmokers has called their new hit with Coldplay "one of the dopest songs ever written".

After enjoying much success with their smash hits Paris and Closer, the fratboy duo has now released (accidentally by Spotify in fact) their new single, Something Just Like This.

The single's cover art is awfully, unexpectedly cute.

I'm sure I speak for most of us when we first heard the news of the collab - lots of groaning, face-palming, and a "WHY?"

BUT I WAS WRONG.

But I'm pretty sure, 100% in fact - all fears are unfounded now. The song begins with the familiar ~silky~ vocals from Chris Martin, waxing both lyrical and poetic (what else?) verses:

She said 'Where do you want to go? How much you want to risk?' / I'm not looking for somebody with some superhuman gift, some superhero, some fairytale bliss / Just something I can turn to, somebody I can kiss / I want something just like this

After the introductory bridge, The Chainsmokers then drops the "bass" with their signature synth, making the song very much worthy of looped listen.

Now if you'll excuse me, I am about to make full use of my Spotify subscription.

24K Magic is coming to the Grammy Awards this year, thanks to Bruno Mars.

In the 59th installment of the awards show, Bruno will be joining the legendary likes of Adele, Keith Urban, Metallica, John Legend and Carrie Underwood to wow music connoisseurs and plebs like you and me.

This piece of announcement comes as an expected but pleasant surprise - I believe most of the Grammy organizers do miss Bruno's efficacious performance and his megawatt smile.

Oh, and the fact that he is incredibly down-to-earth helps, of course.

The last time Bruno appeared in 2013, let's not forget that he actually teamed up with ex-Police frontman Sting to duet his hit single Locked Out Of Heaven.

After that soulful collab, the duo was later joined by Rihanna, Ziggy and Damien Marley to perform a tribute to Bob Marley, the reggae maestro.

Ah - what a memorable year, wasn't it? Reminisce with us below:

Contemporary music giants Calvin Harris and Frank Ocean have made magic together. It's real, and we're all ready for it. I mean, they were already spotted hanging out last summer in Malibu... Something's bound to happen right?

While the two solo artists' forte lies in slightly different genres, it'll no doubt be a sexy fusion. We haven't got much exposure from the elusive Frank Ocean, other than his album Blonde.

Well, good news! We don't have to wait any longer - Calvin Harris did us fans a HUGE favour and released a snippet of their collab:

It sounds extremely danceable and a possible rival to his ex and Zayn's 50 Shades soundtrack... That's it. I'm pretty sure this is going to be a Billboard hit.

What's next on my EDM wishlist, you may ask? Calvin and The Weeknd.

Shawn Mendes' best friend Matt is one lucky man. Not only is he getting married, he also has the pop heartthrob performing LIVE at his wedding.

To top it off, Shawn's wedding gift to his friend is a gorgeous, unreleased ballad titled Try My Best.

And here's the twist: the song is based on a love letter the groom dedicated to his wife. How seriously romantic is that?!

Before playing on stage, Shawn sweetly announced, "Matt and I both wrote this for you, Catherine, so I hope you love it."

The couple then took to the floor and had their first dance as husband and wife.

Check out the full performance below - if that doesn't make you gush, then I don't know what will!

Could this be Shawn Mendes' next hit? You never know. wink

Brendon Urie's one adrenaline-pumped singing junkie.

Even during the last few hours of 2016, the frontman of Panic! At The Disco was still rocking it out on Dick Clark's New Year Eve stage, belting out the first few verses of "Victorious".

Armed with killer beats, tight skinny jeans and incredible vocals (as usual), P!ATD delivered a stellar performance - thankfully, without any technical malfunction or sabotage behind-the-scenes.

Although 2016 ended on a good note for the band, Brendon reveals in a Billboard interview that he's already working hard for 2017:

Whether I’m writing a lyric or making a beat, every day I’m doing something. I never really stopped working, so I’m curious to do the sort of Frankenstein method now and see if I can pull all of these things to kind of jigsaw puzzle this [next] album.

To tease the rest of us, Brendon also mentioned that he would be diving into non-music ventures in this year.

He added cheekily, "We'll see how dangerous I get."

To fuel the excitement further, check out the band's performance below!

Following the platinum success of their hit collab 'Bad Things', it is no wonder that Camila Cabello's duet partner, Machine Gun Kelly, felt the need to rise up to all the ~DRAMA~.

Ever since the news broke, all four members of Fifth Harmony have claimed that Camila ignored their calls for group meetings, and refused to attend group counselling.

Now what does this mean?

Whose side are we supposed to be on? Is Camila the next Taylor Swift? (#CamilaIsOverParty)

To make matters more confusing, this is what Machine Gun Kelly said over a radio interview:

"[Camila]'s an innocent young, girl, and it just sucks to feel like these people did a backturn with the constant releasing of statements. It was odd that it happened on the day we got our gold plaque for "Bad Things." The way it played out wasn't great timing for someone to be looked at like, 'You did the right thing'. But I know that it was all so genuine and none of that stuff...

The rapper even said that the group should not be focusing on negativity instead, and they should be grateful for all the times they had.

It just looks like MGK is standing up for his good friend, but we also know that this isn't really his business to begin with.

*Sips tea*

While this whole drama bubbles in the background, check out the duo's track burning up on the Billboard Charts below:

It's only less than 10 days to Christmas, and Coldplay is already turning up the heat.

During their last show in Sydney couple days ago, frontman Chris Martin treated everybody to a uniquely Australian festive tune: a song about Christmas and kangaroos - titled, of course - Christmas with the Kangaroos.

Bonus points for improvisation! And for coming up with nonsensical but catchy lyrics like:

Christmas here's sweet as a peach/ Opening presents at the beach/ We've got barbies, we've got beer/ Santa wishes he lived here

This really makes me wonder what song Coldplay will come up with for April's Fools during their show here in Singapore?!

Nonetheless, you can already anticipate the Sydney crowd going bananas thanks to Chris.

You can watch the special performance below:

Who would have thought after Zayn, Niall Horan of the now-defunct One Direction would hit the stage next?

The shy, underrated ex-boyband member performed his debut single on The Tonight Show, and he delivered on all fronts. It must not be easy following up to Zayn's huge commercial success, but Niall seem to do it almost effortlessly.

Armed with a trusty acoustic guitar, Niall belted out his tune, oozing every inch of grace and charisma - swooning even the most cynical skeptic.

Over this summer, Niall quickly secured his own record deal (not surprising), and he teased fans during an intimate 1-on-1 interview:

[It is] the first taste of a larger album to come. I'm in the middle of recording it. It's a longer process than recording everything from scratch... It should be coming soon, I guess.

2017, get ready for Niall.

Meanwhile, savour his promising performance (And check out that stubble too!):
